The longest water trough in the Southern Hemisphere, 120 metres long.

The Prison Boab Tree. Sad to think this actually happened.

Some of the “locals” at the Caravan Park.

Too busy fighting to see David getting closer.

A “flying” kangaroo.

The wattle is out in the west. Spring is on the way.

A free camp on a plateau, with a 360 degree view.
Took a day trip to Wyndham and the Five Rivers Lookout. Morning tea at The Rusty Shed Cafe.

Memorial to the 25 dogs that were taken by a rogue crocodile at a local Aboriginal community.

From the top of the Lookout, you can see the point where the following five rivers of the Gulf meet; Durack, Kink, Pentecost, Forrest and Ord!

It is a long way down on the other side of this wall, but these children walked it with ease.
Had a whole day exploring the Ord River and Lake Argyle. Starting with a cruise up the Ord River seeing bird-life, crocodiles, rock wallabies and beautiful scenery finishing at the dam wall. (Can anyone spot the horse drinking?) Then transferred to another boat for a sunset cruise on Lake Argyle.

On the Lake Argyle cruise.

Anchored to watch the sunset whilst having a swim.

Stopped off at Waringarri Aboriginal Art Gallery.

Black cockatoos flying past Anzac Hill.

Ivanhoe Crossing over the Ord River just outside Kununnura.

Day trip to El Questro Wilderness Park, arrived after 16km’s of corrugations and two river crossings, much to Cheryl’s disgust.

Two of the locals. One scratching his arse on a tree. We then went back over 16km’s of corrugations and two river crossings to get to Emma Gorge.

Part of the walk into Emma Gorge, very rocky underfoot.

Looking down the gorge.

One of the waterholes at the top of Emma Gorge. Watched these boys jump off the rocks.

Sunset on first day at Kununnura.

Camped by this nice lake under the boab.

Part of the NAIDOC Week celebrations.

Timber Creek Caravan Park in the middle of nowhere between Katherine and Kununnura.

Guess who lost everything out of the fridge, avocado, lemons, lettuce and capsicum.

Boab tree – Cheryl’s favourite tree.

Freshwater croc, free to roam around the caravan park!

Celebrating NT Independence Day. Fireworks at Timber Creek. Celebrated the day in the bar with six other non-indigenous people and 30 happy, cheerful and laughing Aboriginals.

Three jeeps side by side. Becoming very popular for pulling caravans.
