Wyndham – Five Rivers Lookout

Took a day trip to Wyndham and the Five Rivers Lookout. Morning tea at The Rusty Shed Cafe.

From the top of the Lookout, you can see the point where the following five rivers of the Gulf meet; Durack, Kink, Pentecost, Forrest and Ord!

It is a long way down on the other side of this wall, but these children walked it with ease.

Ord River Cruise and Lake Argyle

Had a whole day exploring the Ord River and Lake Argyle. Starting with a cruise up the Ord River seeing bird-life, crocodiles, rock wallabies and beautiful scenery finishing at the dam wall. (Can anyone spot the horse drinking?) Then transferred to another boat for a sunset cruise on Lake Argyle.

El Questro Wilderness Park and Emma Gorge

Day trip to El Questro Wilderness Park, arrived after 16km’s of corrugations and two river crossings, much to Cheryl’s disgust.

Celebrating NT Independence Day. Fireworks at Timber Creek. Celebrated the day in the bar with six other non-indigenous people and 30 happy, cheerful and laughing Aboriginals.
